Tyler has been involved in sports since a young age-- baseball, soccer, cross country, basketball, and track & field. When he got to high school, he started to spend more time training in the gym. He broke the 1000 pound club for weightlifting and senior year, received the Section III Scholar Athlete award. He won the sectional meet in shot put and discus and competed in the State Qualifier, breaking his own record in discus. He continued on to throw for the Division III Men’s Track & Field team at SUNY Cortland.
Tyler grew up overweight and struggled with accepting his own body image. As an adult, Tyler has lost 95 lbs. through proper nutrition and exercise. He was always big compared to peers and decided one day that he wanted to make a long term commitment to his health. Tyler graduated from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, specializing in fitness development. Training now has only further ignited his passion to help others find success in the gym. Tyler has learned that being consistent is important, but also making sure you enjoy the type of training you want and that it aligns with the goals you set.
